Edmond Burnes

Featured Brother

Edmond has been a member of the ADC Fraternity since 1974. He served as ADC’s fourth president from Summer 1976 to Spring 1977. He started his community career service in the Charleston Community and surrounding areas by volunteering to support the Jenkins Orphanage and supported the Fraternity’s Big Brother Program.

He currently volunteers with several educational institutions in Beaufort County to support academic improvement, especially in mathematics.

Edmond believes in establishing relationships with predominantly Black males to enhance confidence and self-actualization while improving the math skills of youngsters.

Vision, Mission, & Values

We, the brothers of the Alpha Dite Criterion Fraternity are determined to unite in the interest to promote through services to the college community and in the community in which we may live, the following goals:

  • Discourage hatred and descrimination among succeeding generations: Strongly discourage hatred and discrimination among succeeding generations; establish better cooperation with other racial and ethnic groups; promote self-determination, freedom, social progress and a better standard of life; practice tolerance and live in peace with one another as good neighbors; unite and strengthen ethnic peace and security, for the promotion of the economic and social advancement of all people; reaffirm faith, dignity, worth, respect and equal rights of men and women of all races; and employ our energies to reach our goals as they are stated above.
  • To render services to the College community and the community in which the members reside to establish programs and render voluntary assistance in existing programs which are dedicated to progress towards the attainment of the goals set forth in the Preamble of this Constitution.
  • To establish specific projects and render voluntary assistance to non-profit organizations dedicated to the development of friendly relations among races based upon respect for the principle of equal rights and the self-determination of people.
  • To render voluntary service to the community by the promotion, establishment and continuation of voluntary, non-profit projects, and individual assistance to underprivileged children to offer guidance and other assistance for the purpose of helping individuals attain the goals set forth in the Preamble of this Constitution.
